Stuart Haxton is the president of Atherton Company and a leader in the
Commercial Real Estate Appraisal
industry. Stuart's remarkable commercial real estate
career spans appraisal work, nationwide office and retail
acquisitions, and
creating ModernValue Suite - appraisal software to better handle complex Income
Approach
concepts and calculations.
Stuart appraised commercial real estate in the Boise area for over 7 years, and
was an Idaho Certified General Appraiser prior to doing multi-million dollar
acquisitions for DBSI of Boise.
Stuart’s buying for the institutional-buyer DBSI required his acquisition work
of repeated valuations, modeling, research, and negotiations. In total, Stuart
completed 19 purchases totaling $148 million dollars. Valuations were modeled
using Excel and Argus. Following this, Stuart developed ModernValue Suite
software to better model and present Yield Analysis (DCF) and other complex and
often misunderstood Income Approach items including Income Stabilization.
Formally educated with a degree in Business Finance, Stuart has completed
Appraisal Institute courses including their most advanced Highest & Best Use,
Income, Cost, and Sales Comparison courses. Stuart Haxton, Associate Member of
